Jim Clancy of the Baltimore Blue Crabs was right on target when he blanked the Hollywood Hoagies 6-0, yielded 5 hits and totaled 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.
Speaking to BNN reporters after the game, Clancy said, "I had everything working today and I got some help from my defense, too. They saved my butt a few times."
Currently Clancy has a record of 9-11 with 109 strikeouts and 73 walks in 187.2 innings and a 4.99 ERA.

Mario Soto kept Hollywood hitters off balance all game long as the Bradford pitcher blanked the Hoagies 4-0. They managed to get 2 hits off Soto, who struck out 11 and walked 1.
So far this season Soto has a 12-11 record with a 4.36 ERA.

The Bulls whipped the Hoagies in a 3-0 whitewash today at Gargoyle Park. It was a masterful outing for Walter Johnson, who shut out Hollywood on 5 hits.
This year Johnson has a 19-12 mark in 36 starts with a 3.11 ERA. He has given up 279 hits in 301.1 innings, struck out 201 and issued 77 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .245 batting average against him.
